Aap Ki Adalat: Bageshwar Baba

In a captivating episode of Aap Ki Adalat hosted by Rajat Sharma, spiritual leader Bageshwar Baba (Pandit Dhirendra Shastri) shared an extraordinary story about Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s grand wedding celebrations.

Baba revealed that Anant Ambani personally insisted on his presence at the wedding, even sending a chartered private jet from Australia to bring him to the ceremony. “Anant ji told me, I won’t become a dulha unless you come. He calls me Dada,” Baba recalled with affection.

Initially, Baba hesitated due to a scheduled katha in Australia, worried about missing his commitments. But Anant Ambani assured him, promising to arrange everything. “He said, Don’t worry, we will send a plane for you. And they did,” Baba said, describing the luxurious jet as “gazab ki hawai jahaz,” complete with facilities for sleeping and even bathing mid-flight.

The anecdote highlighted not just the opulence of the Ambani wedding, but also the family’s deep respect for India’s Sanatan traditions and spiritual figures. “There are many wealthy people in India, but real wealth is when saints, leaders, actors, and sadhus are all given equal honour. The Ambanis did exactly that,” Baba said, praising their cultural devotion.

The Ambani-Merchant wedding, one of the most extravagant global events of 2024, saw the presence of international celebrities, business magnates, politicians, and revered saints. With a seamless blend of traditional rituals and grand celebrations, the wedding once again underscored the Ambanis’ stature as cultural ambassadors of India.

Bageshwar Baba’s humorous closing remark to Rajat Sharma—“Ab aapne nahin bheji (a plane to attend Aap Ki Adalat), woh aapki kami hai”—left the audience in splits, making the episode as memorable as the story itself.
