New Delhi, September 8, 2025: On the birth anniversary of the revered social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to his timeless teachings, highlighting their enduring relevance in shaping a just and inclusive society.

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi recalled Guru’s vision and profound impact on both the social and spiritual landscape of India.

“On the birth anniversary of Sree Narayana Guru, we recall his vision and impact on our social as well as spiritual landscape. His teachings of equality, compassion, and universal brotherhood resonate widely,” the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi further emphasized that Narayana Guru’s call for social reform and emphasis on education continues to inspire generations, underscoring the importance of carrying forward his legacy of equality, inclusivity, and moral guidance.

Sree Narayana Guru, born in 1856 in Kerala, was a spiritual leader and social reformer who tirelessly worked to eradicate caste discrimination and promote unity and enlightenment across communities. His philosophy of “One caste, one religion, one God for all” remains a guiding principle for social harmony in India.

The Prime Minister’s tribute comes amidst nationwide celebrations marking the Guru’s birth anniversary, with followers and dignitaries paying homage through prayers, processions, and community events.

By remembering the Guru’s contributions, leaders and citizens alike are encouraged to uphold his ideals and foster a society rooted in justice, compassion, and mutual respect.
